So you’ve a look at the photos and decided on the exhaust system you really like the look of on the Multistrada 1200 but what does it sound like?! I’m building a collection of videos that will answer that question (new addition to the site 18Jan2011 so bare with me;-)

Get rid of the huge/heavy exhaust CAT box
Take the CAT box out and replace with a ‘bypass pipe’ / decat kit. I think this is going to be popular, not least as a lower cost option, and to date (05Feb2011) I beleive that MIVV is the only company offering a ‘decat’ kit for the Multistrada 1200.
Update: As off March 2012 there are 3 Multistrada ‘decat’ kits I know of: Arrow, Leo Vince and the MIVV. (Contact me if you know otherwis;-)

Remove the Multistrada 1200 exhaust CAT box – Retain the standard ‘ OE Multistrada 1200 Exhaust silencer but replace the huge and heavy exhaust CAT box with a bypass pipe: MIVV decat pipe D.027.C1 (replaced by the D.027.C3) http://www.mivv.it/en

Update 14Feb2011 – Arrow now also list a ‘decat’ pipe / collector replacement. I’ve not seen any details to confirm as to whether it can be used in conjuntion with the standard Multistrada exhaust silencer/muffler or after market cans other than Arrow parts. www.arrowexhausts.co.uk (if you have the answer please contact me 😉
