The R1200GS was visially designed on the basis of “understatement”, although in looking at the list of modifications you might think otherwise!

As one of the highlights, there’s the rear hugger which was newly designed and protects the driver’ and socia’s feet as well as the suspension.
Another exclusive part is the new cylinder cover which was presented on the 6th international BMW Bikermeeting in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and is available in four versions.
All in all, more than 40 different parts were changed on this bike, the carbon covered parts not integrated.
