They also come complete with frames which locate straight on to the existing BMW mountings. The pannier frames have been so designed that they utilise the existing location points on the BMW frame & pannier fitting could not be simpler & takes only minutes. Bernie Brinkmann: I was not happy with the design of BMW panniers (particularly the massive storage space loss with the near-side pannier having to accommodate the exhaust pipe). So I designed aluminium panniers and frames for the R1200GS/R1150GS/R1100GS & R850. By increasing the width of the near-side pannier frame the pannier now hangs on to the frame and sits “proud” of the exhaust pipe, thus giving the owner a “full pannier”.

Hi Bernie, well worth the wait, the luggage was absoulutly perfect, especially the inner bags and the table* conversion that meant we got even better use out of the luggage.

* Stahlkoffer has complemented it’s product range further with this neat pannier table. It comes in 2mm aluminium & powder-coated in various colours (black/silver/gun metal grey). Just fits over the pannier-lid handles.

Just received this picture from Andy Malnick who bought a set of Stahlkoffer Panniers & is travelling round the world on a red & white R1200GS. I think he is somewhere on the border of north/south America.
